Paddle Pools and Play Dates

We had a play date today and Friend and Cutie Pie came over. We spent most of the morning in the Paddle Pool and everyone had a wonderful time.

My blue eyed girl.

Baby Girl like Baby Boy is also growing like a weed. She is my busy one and is constantly on the move and hates to be confined to a saucer, a high chair, or a play yard. I have had to change the way I set up the play yard to please her or she becomes queen of pouting complete with pushed out bottom lip and whine. She loves to stand and is constantly looking for something to pull herself up on. While she does not eat nearly as much as Baby Boy she has FINALLY decided that she does indeed like food more than a bottle. In fact, most days I have trouble getting her to finish a bottle which is good since we will begin bottle breaking next week. She has become very attached to me and gets upset if I leave the room which I have to admit I kind of secretly like. (I know I am loved LOL) She is quick with a smile but will also play coy which is the cutest. Oh yes, I adore this blue eyed Baby Girl.

Pasta Shell Hermit Crabs

Today Handsome and I made a Hermit Crab out of a large pasta shell. My favorite part of this project was before we got started Handsome picked up the pasta shell put it to his ear and said "Suzie I can hear the ocean." I loved it, I am not sure where he learned that, I will have to ask Mom and Dad, but I loved that with his imagination a pasta shell could become a real shell and he could hear the ocean with it.

 ADORABLE.

 We got the pasta shell Hermit Crab craft from story time at the library when they did a month on sea life. Handsome had so much fun decorating the shell and I just love how it turned out.

Baby Boy, personality PLUS

Baby Boy is growing up quick. He is talking constantly in his adorable baby chatter. He is eating anything not nailed down or attempting to anyway. lol He is all over the place as soon as you put him on the floor. He is getting a mouthful of teeth evidenced by their shiny white nubs poking at the gums, but more by the constant drool that is always all over his shirt. The best part of all though is his adorable personality. His expressions are priceless and I just can't wait for him to talk so I know what he's thinking behind all that cuteness.

I know this cutie pie has a lot to say.

 One thing for sure is "I love my brother best"

Pajama Day..

Yesterday, when Daddy dropped Handsome off Handsome was still in his Jammies. Daddy said that Handsome refused to put clothes on that morning. I understood, sometimes 3 year old's can be very head strong. Several times during the day I also encouraged Handsome to get dressed. I too received an adamant NO sprinkled with a bit of whine. I have learned a long time ago to choose my battles. That's what I love about a home setting verses a day care center. I want my little one's to view my home as their second home, to be very comfortable here just like at home. So if Handsome wants to spend a day in his Jammies and we don't have plans to go anywhere I'm fine with that.


 We made a cup aquarium which involved lots of Handsome's favorite craft material GLUE. You know little boys the messier the better. Handsome is going to have to keep a close eye on this craft because Baby Boy really thought it was cool and bee lined for it every time Handsome put it down.

Question: Why do babies have to sleep with their blankets this way?

 Answer: To give their day care providers heart attacks.

Last week we were making a paper towel tube Octopus and Handsome decided it was just as much fun to paint his face as it was the Octopus. Silly Handsome.
